AllSeasonContact Takes Top Spot in UK Magazine Auto Express Test

Taking first place in no fewer than three safety-relevant tests and for rolling resistance, the AllSeasonContact from Continental finished in top spot in the test conducted by UK car magazine Auto Express. In its latest issue (Nov. 25, 2020, No. 654), the magazine reports on its all-season tire test that covered six makes of tire in size 225/45 R 17, with a Golf VII as the test vehicle. The experts tested the tires in a total of eleven different categories − on snow as well as in wet and dry conditions. As Kim Adams, Auto Express Products Editor sums up: "Continental has created a strong performer in the AllSeasonContact, with good results in the wet, even better scores in the snow and low rolling resistance helping your fuel bills. It's another well-deserved victory for the German brand's great all-rounder." Auto Express is the UK’s best-selling weekly car magazine with a circulation of almost 38,000 copies.

Continental’s AllSeasonContact is widely considered a premium tire that meets high safety requirements. It offers good grip on cold and wet or snow-covered roads, safe handling during the summer and very low rolling resistance, which is important in terms of fuel economy. Continental manufactures 119 sizes, in widths of between 175 and 255 millimeters, with aspect ratios of between 70 and 35 percent and for 14- to 20-inch rims. This means that a wide range of models from compact cars to luxury limousines can now be fitted with AllSeasonContact tires. On the OE fitments front, Volkswagen, for example, has specified the all-season tire from Continental for its all-electric ID.3.
